Why You Should Build A Strong Business Foundation For Your Home Based Business
You should build a strong business foundation before or while you start your business. Without a business foundation your business is likely to fail. You will forget your goals and your ambitions will be challenged if you don’t set your business foundation in place when you get started.
If you want to be successful, and I’m sure you do, you will have a much better chance of succeeding with a strong business foundation than without out planning that stage at all!
What Makes A Strong Business Foundation?
There are three things that you need to do in order to have a strong business foundation. I’m going to go through them as quickly as I can so that you get the idea but don’t feel you are having to read to much to get it!
The first thing you need when you build your business foundation is a very clear vision of what your ideal business and lifestyle looks like. What do you want from both of them? Where are you headed? Do you want to work endless hours or just a couple of hours a day? Do you want to have a lot of time to spend with your family or are you OK with working long hours? This is important! If you don’t define your vision for your future you could quickly fail. So write down your vision for your future in both business and home life as clearly as you can.
The second thing you need is inspiration. You will need this in order to keep going when the times get rough or you hit a challenge you weren’t prepared for. The best way to find inspiration is to get around the people who have what you want. This is not hard to do, especially on-line as the successful business people are on the internet. You don’t actually have to talk to them but learn from them, model after them and read what they have to say. As the saying goes, “Success Leaves Clues”.
The third thing you have to do is to think positively about yourself. Write 3 “I am’s” that define you. For example:
I am a leader!! (You say this with no ego. Leave the ego at the door. Leaders are servants. Leaders do what needs to be done regardless of how they feel.)
So define yourself with 3 I am’s. The more you remind yourself of these the more you will mirror them.
Build a Strong Business Foundation
These three things can be used for whatever type of business you are working to build. The foundation of the business is YOU. Without you the business wouldn’t exist so you have to become the best YOU that YOU can be.
