My way around the town….

I ride a bicycle every day.
I’ve loved sports ever since . It was skying first, then swimming, then doing water polo.
After that I took on triathlon. I used be in water four hours a day until I was 15. I bet I was a fish in my previous life, probably a killer whale…:-)
I guess due to my childhood I developed an addiction. An addiction of doing sports daily. I cannot live without moving, lifting weighs, running, swimming, riding a bike etc.
And it is a blessing to me. I can eat anything I want, anytime I want, in almost any amount I want. I just burn it all.
And I love city bikes. Actually any kind of bike. I ride a bicycle to town, to gym, to date. The city center is about 30 minutes far from my place. By bus it would take me like 45 minutes at least. I am much fast with the bike.
The city, I live in now, has a program, where you can borrow a bike from one of the hundreds of bike dock stations and return it any time you want. First 30 minutes is for free. You can check it out here.
I see many people using it. Recently I met a Spaniard who told me he borrows the city bike for commuting to work as his bike got stolen a while ago.
I do not have a car. And I can tell you I ride a bicycle around the town with great pleasure. It is free, it is healthy, it is green.
There is a similar program in NYC to be launched. I just found this vid commercial that is promoting the program.
I think every big city should have such a thing. For tourists, for home residents, for anybody. It is a free transport almost anybody will find useful.
Cheers,
Maroschief.
