Do not take their crap for real….

I remember 2 years ago. The Chef, in the kitchen I used to work in, came to me and said:
“You will dishwash today.“
I thought: “Shit.“
I did not want to dish wash at all. I was not a dishwasher slave. I wanted to cook or prepare salads or silmilar. But I did it. I had to.
What happened next was incredible. I took this job at that evening only to find out that I cannot dishwash on time. I was just not fast enough. And this was kind of incredible to me and no matter how hard I tried I just could not do it. And the Chef got pissed, and the waiters got pissed as the cutlery they received was just not clean enough.
And I also learned my lesson that night. And the lesson was, that each of us is good at something else. Period.
I felt so many times as if I was not good enough for something. My teachers, friends, coaches all judged me. And I took many times their judgement to my heart. And I started to believe in what they were saying.
I started to feel inferior and started to have doubt whether I am good enough.
I have held several jobs so far. Some with a partial success some with less success. But not many times I got this feeling of bringing the best out me.
And even if I did, there was not always recognition.
But the most important recognition had to came from me. And many times I just supressed it and did not let it shine.
I was told to.I was taught to. I was raised to not to do it.
Well, people tell you how good or bad you are. But only you decide what is true.
Never ever let anybody decide for you how good you are.
You were not created to feel down about not being enough. You were created to create with what you have and nobody has the right to take it away from you. Not even with words.
So do not let them.
Believe in you with all your strenght. Failure does not exist. Failure is a journey towards success. And every “no” brings you closer to “yes”.
Do not forget that.
Cheers.
