Remember The Pain

So quickly do we forget.
When things start going well, often we forget how we got to that point.
We tend to forget the struggles that we went through. We forget about all the help that we received and start taking credit ourselves.
Now I am not saying that we should be dwelling on bad feelings or trying to bring ourselves down. Everyone deserves to celebrate all of life’s victories. I’m just saying that we need to remember how we got there. And no matter where we are, there is ALWAYS another level that we can get to.
And if you are not where you want to be on any of your goals, one way to make sure you achieve those goals is to REMEMBER THE PAIN
- When you want to not go to the gym or exercise, remember that feeling when you couldn’t ride the ride at Disney World with your daughter because the seat belt would not fit around you.
- When you want to “treat” yourself to a bag of Spicy Nacho Doritos, remember the feeling of trying to weigh yourself but not being able to find a scale that goes over 350 pounds
- When you want to say no to your kids when they ask you to take them somewhere, remember all those times when you were not around to be able to take them places because you were out of town on business or working 12 hour days
- When your wife wants to talk and you are “not in the mood”, remember the feelings of being alone in a house after she moved out because you were never around, or just not willing to work on your marriage
- When you want to not work on your business because you are not getting the results you want, remember that feeling you always had when you were working for someone else, that no matter how much you did, you never felt fulfilled or appreciated
- When you have an opportunity to go somewhere with a friend or family and you are not sure if you want to go, remember all those times when you didn’t have a choice in the matter and resented the fact that they went without you
Those are just some of the “pains” that I sometimes have to use when my mindset is not where it is supposed to be.
What are some of yours?
Pain can be a driving force in recovery, a way to help you make any change that you want to make. Don’t dwell on past pain and don’t hold on to current pains. Use them to your benefit. Pain is powerful, but that power does not have to hold us down, that power can be used to lift us up. Higher than we have ever been.
Are you using your pain? Will your pain help you to get to the next plateau? The next level? It can and it will. Just remember that no matter what you are going through right now, someone else has already been through it, got through it and can help you get through yours.
If you are struggling to make money online, we can definitely help with that.
Join us, let’s get through your pain together

You guys have too much fun with your videos!
I had a similar experience this week, a young fellow that worked with me said that he wasn’t making enough money to do the work he was supposed to do. One place I read this week said to “Act your wage”. So glad I am building this business, I love hanging around people that work hard for themselves!
Mark it is just like you said. Don’t dwell on the past, but learn from it. You cannot change what happened but you can learn so that you won’t repeat that same mistake.
It is all about having fun Tim. we did not start this business to be miserable 🙂 Act your wage, that is just wrong. it holds people back from finding their true worth
Exactly, because history will repeat itself if we let it!
Wow, yes we do forget the pain sometimes. You two are so funny on your videos. Keep it up.
Thanks Dan, glad you enjoy the videos
You are so right about remembering the pain. Also remembering how much we didn’t know way back then. I think of how quickly I do things now that use to take me hours to figure out THEN do.
Thanks Stephanie. Be the person that I wished was there when I started.
