How I got started in Internet Marketing

I was lost, completely lost.

Lost my job, almost lost my family, was just lost.

Was completely burned out from 21 years in the corporate world working 12-14 hours per day, 6 to 7 days a week and needed something different. But what else is there? I was brought up to believe that the only way to be successful was to go to school, get a job and work your way to the top.

The problem with that, is that for most people, that would take an entire lifetime to accomplish.

Then I got an e-mail about a way to make money online. Don’t remember who sent me the e-mail, but it caught my eye. Seeing people making a living online from home, living the life that they wanted to live, going to places that they wanted to go, and doing the things that they wanted to do. That is what I needed! So I looked into it. Bought several of the courses that are out there on how to make money online and I was absolutely hooked. The problem…..I still wasn’t making money doing it. 

I loved learning about the business. Creating websites, working with autoresponders, writing call to action e-mails, but there was always something missing. Getting the traffic to my sites. And then even when I did, getting them to sign up for an offer. 

Don’t get me wrong, all of these courses that I bought have very good information in them and I plan on using that information as our business continues to grow, but none of them got me over the proverbial hump. Then I clicked on a link from some guy in Georgia and watched his video. He told his story and I related to every word. Started from nothing and with hard work and dedication, he has been able to build his business up dramatically. He talked about this online franchise system that basically does all of the work for you, while training you how to grow and learn this business from the highest earners in the industry. How, if I applied myself, that I could start making money within the first month.

I was in! I ordered the 7 day trial without talking to Michelle as there was a money back guarantee so it was a no lose situation. I watched the videos, I filled out the game plan like they told me to, AND I called the coach that they had assigned to me. We talked for about an hour and I told him that I really needed to get Michelle involved before I made a final decision. I’m sure he probably thought that I was just making an excuse, but you see, I have been working on changing ME, and rigorous honesty is one of the things that I most needed to exercise (and still do). 

I told Michelle about the business, and being the AWESOME wife that she is, she said that if it was something that I felt that strongly about, that I should do it. But before I made a decision, I asked her to watch the same 5 videos that I had just watched as I really wanted to work this business WITH her….as partners! 

She did, and she was IN!

We started watching the training videos and came up with a business plan, and we started working it. One thing that I did notice is that this can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. And that is why I made the decision this morning during my

 that it would be best for me to share what knowledge I do have with anyone that is interested in this business, especially those that have signed up to be on our team. 

So on this blog you will start seeing posts from both myself and Michelle going over any training that we have gone through, with ways for you to access it and also ways that it can be applied to this business. I have come to realize after a lifetime of self-centered ego-building behavior, that the ONLY way that I am going to succeed in life is to share what I know with anyone that is interested in knowing, with no strings attached.

After two weeks of learning this system and applying methods that we were being taught, we actually started to make money.. I remember that moment when I got a text saying a sale was made to one of our leads, it was around 4 AM and I was already up and thinking about my day. I wanted to scream out and jump around and tell the world that I knew that I had found my calling, but I held back and let my family sleep (was not easy).

Anyway, the people that we talk to on a regular basis and the help and training that we get from this extraordinary system have been phenomenal. I honestly could not ask for a better system, and yet they continue to improve it and will be releasing an even better version in the near future which will just make it easier for people to sign up and start making money much faster.
