The last couple of months I have been on a Mindset Call “Think & Grow Rich”. I have started so many times to finish this book but being on these calls has really opened my mind how powerful our mind really is…
The concept of Think & Grow Rich is actually what the title of this book is about but if you think about it, everything you desire to accomplish in 2013 can be used with this philosophy. Such as losing weight, getting fit, stop smoking, whatever your goal you want to achieve all starts with DESIRE.
Chapter 2 Desire “The Starting Point of All Achievement.”
In this chapter Napoleon Hill speaks about Edwin C. Barnes asking Mr. Edison for an opportunity to carry out the one CONSUMING OBSESSION OF HIS LIFE, a BURNING DESIRE to become the business associate of the great inventor.
Barnes’ desire was not a hope. It was not a wish. It was a keen, pulsating DESIRE, which transcended everything else. It was DEFINITE
Napoleon Hill wrote the method of the six steps. It is not sufficient enough to merely to say “I want plenty of money”. Your plan must be a definite goal, visualizing so clearly what you desire. These are the Six steps:
1. Be definite as to the amount.
2. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire.
3. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
4. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
5. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
6. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before bed and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ-SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.
Napoleon Hill speaks about the “Secret”, to manifest your thoughts by Auto Suggestion in Chapter 4 – Auto Suggestion: The Medium for Influencing the Subconscious Mind
“Through the dominating thoughts that one permits to remain in the conscious mind, (whether these thoughts be negative or positive, is immaterial), the principle of auto suggestion voluntarily reaches the subconscious mind and influences it with these Thoughts”.
Napoleon Hill goes on write which is so powerful:
You are instructed, in the last of the six steps described in the chapter on Desire, to read ALOUD twice daily the WRITTEN statement of your DESIRE FOR MONEY, and to SEE AND FEEL yourself ALREADY in possession of the money! By following these instructions, you communicate the object of your DESIRE directly to your SUBCONSCIOUS mind in a spirit of absolute FAITH
I encourage you to start listening to our Mindset Call- It all starts with what you think between your ears. I will write more about Think & Grow Rich because I love what he also speaks about creating a Mastermind Group. As I have gone through the different teams and people within our Empower Network Community, we really have this mindset..
The other night I had turned on the TV which doesn’t happen all that often but there was a pastor speaking about the mind. It was so similar to what Napoleon Hill had wrote in his book. He spoke about visualizing with pictures and words. Your mind reacts what it sees.
Creating a Vision Board is important for your mind to see. So not only are you reading the words out loud and memorizing your words, adding pictures of your desires around your home will register with your mind. By adding these concepts your mind reacts to what it knows regardless if it is reality today.
Direct your mind to visualize your 2013 Goals by creating and writing your definite purpose.
Make your Vision Board – I write vision instead of dream board. A vision is clear to you and you know it will happen. A Vision is a plan, not a dream.
Think about everything relating to your goal, such what would happen if you achieved your goal. For instance, if your goal is to be financially successful then select pictures that capture your ideas. Asking yourself the following questions might help:
What would you do differently when you realize your goal?
Where would you live?
What things would you own?
What would you do for work or fun?
Who would you help?
What would you do with your time?
Who would you spend time with?
Be persistent, take massive action and have absolute faith you can achieve your goals for 2013. Make it your YEAR!!
I know absolutely without a doubt in my mind, this will be my year to achieve my goals. My plan is every clear. I would love if you would like to join with me to make this be the best year we ever had!
