Four Article Marketing Strategy Tactics To Generate Reader Curiosity Each And Every Time
You know, without a doubt, a great article marketing strategy is worth its weight in gold simply because article marketing is one of the premier ways marketers can acquire free, targeted traffic on the internet. My question to you is this: Can you make your reader say “Yes” to your offers and make your article worthy of reading instead of deleting?
Article marketing is about putting the reader first. Period. Think of their needs and exactly how you are able to provide for that need. In order to accomplish this, you should inject your knowledge, facts of the subject matter at hand as well as your own persona into the piece of writing.
In part one of this article, I will discuss 2 of the 4 article marketing strategy techniques that make it possible to get your readers saying “yes”. Now I’m not breaking this article into 2 parts because I don’t think you can grasp it all at one time, but rather so you can absorb what it is I am trying to communicate to you!!
Keyword Research-Article Marketing Strategy # 1
The reason I placed this strategy at number 1 is because not everybody writes articles to rank; some people just like to write and be expressive. However if you DO wish to rank in the search engines, then proper keyword research is a MUST. You want to use a tool like Google’s Keywords to discover the exact phrases people are using when searching for your product or service online.
Once you’ve found a half dozen keywords or more, search Google to discover how many web sites are actually competing to rank for those keywords as well. The less competition, the more chance you have of getting your article ranked above the fold so it can attract more visitors to your site.
A good benchmark is to target keywords that have less than 100,000 competing pages using a “phrase match” search.
This is a great article marketing strategy that not many people know.
Say I want to write an article on Mickey Mouse. Google says there are about 28,100,000 results. But I want to know my true competition.
So I go to the search URL and after the first “&” put “start=900″.
Example: is replaced with
It will take you to the very last page of the responses where you will see a statement that says:
In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 715 already displayed.
The lower the number means less actual competition. You want to look for a 500-600 range for medium competition. If the number is less than 500, it should be very easy to get ranked.
Keep the Reader’s Interest-Article Marketing Strategy # 2
Right before you begin to write, in your head, sketch out a blueprint of whatever topics you could talk about as well as questions you can answer for your reader. The majority of readers want to be informed and to some degree entertained while they take in the info.
A key article marketing strategy would be to present an issue that the reader might be experiencing (example: How can I generate more leads online?) and then present a solution in great detail. Offer as much value as you can to your reader. This will build trust with your reader. This includes strategies, tips and examples if you can. The questions you need to be answering should be obvious and frequently asked by the reader.
Also, make sure you are upbeat and positive throughout the article all the way to the end. After all, no one wants to be put to sleep while reading your article. Readers and subscribers to your content will look forward to additional posts if the content is informative and entertaining to read.
Start implementing these article marketing strategy approaches and I’ll have part 2 coming up shortly!
