Lee Whittaker

Somebody decided to rewrite Star Wars as an original story and then actually did it, chapter after chapter, with a princess, a flying fortress held together by a red stone, and a mirror shard that might destroy it. Lee Whittaker published dozens of instalments, and the writing takes itself seriously enough to be worth following.

The rest of the blog belongs to a different life. Five years cooking in a retirement home, then absorbing the nutritionist's job when the post disappeared, which produced a practical piece on making a weekly grocery order painless.

He writes about being a Mormon in several parts, separating what people take as facts from what he holds as true, and he defends police officers against blanket criticism in a piece written with visible restraint.

There is a series about food as an experience rather than as fuel.

Start at the first chapter if you want the story, and read the grocery post if ordering for a household defeats you every week.
