At this point of the Challenge, three days gone by, you might be curious about why I really decided to create such challenge. I wouldn’t be surprised if you thought I’m trying to sell something.
But my answer is very simple: Because I can.
Because I can do anything I set my mind to. If I wanna challenge the virtual world, I just do it. Will I have a lot of people in it? Maybe, but I didn’t create the challenge for everyone to join. I created the challenge so that the ones who do join can take advantage of it.
So today my Sentence is:
Yes, I can do it.
Some people are taking this challenge seriously. Because they believe it can change something, because they believe it’s good for them. Because they know ANYONE can do it. I mean come on, how hard is it to write one sentence a day?
My today’s sentence also came from a conversation I had last night with a friend. A very good friend. My best friend in fact. I admit I’m feeling homesick. I miss my home, I miss Portugal, I can’t wait to go back. I had a little “homesick crisis” last night. The sentence I said the most was “I wanna go home”.
But I came to Toronto with an objective. And even if the whole world says I’m not gonna make it, they are wrong.
Do you know why I’m gonna make my dreams come true?
Because I can.
Because I do anything I set my mind to.
Because I don’t quit when difficulties show up.
Because I have a supporting team, a true family.
Because I have people who understand me, love me and help me.
Because I have the best friend in the world that kicks my ass when he has to, tells me stories about deaf frogs and reminds me everyday that I’m a fighter, that I’m gonna kick ass and that he’s so proud of me.
Because I can.
You can do whatever you set your mind to. You just need to want to do it and have the guts to do what it takes for YOU to be Happy.
You are the only one setting limits to yourself.
Make your decision of being free, make your decision to make “Yes, I Can Do It” your mantra. Because you can do it.
YOU can do it.
I dedicate this post to my best friend.
