My cat has ADD

Today I came to the conclusion that my cat has ADD.
He has no ability to focus on one thing at a time and is very easily distracted. It’s quite tragic, really. I thought it was a kitten-thing, but he’s a grown cat now and still a spaz.
I figured out that my cat has mental disorder this morning while I was sitting on the toilet, reading a magazine, getting dressed, and playing “toy toss” with the cat. Instead of returning the toy for another toss, he stopped mid-play and wandered toward my dirty chonies and sniffed at them. Instead of going back to the toy, he then wandered away and started grooming himself then jumped up on the bed and started lying there.
After I finished getting dressed, reading my article, writing down my daily goals, using the bathroom and planning my list for my trip, I went over to play with him (after petting him, trimming his nails and bringing him 2 toys to chew on). For some reason, instead of wanting to play, he tried to attack me again for no reason. I don’t know why he thinks attacking me is so much fun. I think it’s another symptom of his ADD.
After I went out to breakfast (read the paper, ate, drafted a blog post), I came home and started the laundry, wrote a letter to the IRS, printed out documents for my trip, listened to audio training, commented on blogs, and cleaned up back e-mails. For some reason, my cat was really agitated, meowing at me and running back and forth from room to room for no reason. He can’t seem to settle down. I hope he doesn’t need to be medicated.
After I finish the laundry, this blog post, 5 more training videos, pack, sign up for the next level of my Empower training, do more e-mail clean-up, and start drafting more blog posts, I’ve got to spend some time figuring out why I’m not doing better in my online business. And get in my daily walk and make a vet appointment for my cat and…
Does anyone really think my cat has ADD?
Do you get so caught up in the demands of your day-to-day life that you forget to stop, breathe, and do just ONE thing at a time?
Do you really think that you are more efficient trying to rush from one thing to the next without stopping?
Are you confusing constant busy-ness with working on your business?
I didn’t actually do all of these things simultaneously today. I did them sequentially, and I didn’t get through my entire list. The things that didn’t need to be done were moved to another day (that’s what dayplanners are for), and I did only what needed to be done.
I was really busy day today, and it did freak my cat out, but he has ALWAYS been a spaz. I almost NAMED him Spaz. I think he will always BE a spaz, but he doesn’t have ADD, and neither do I.
I just have to remember not to act like it, and I’m willing to bet money that I’m not the only one.
