Hello and welcome,

My name is Jeff Burchell and along with my wife Kristi we are the founders of Team L.O.V.E. of the Empower Network.

Just recently in July of this year the Empower Network came into our lives and business.

Over the past few years since we started KJB Creation in Las Vegas NV doing metal art out of our garage a lot has changed.

Over three years ago we bought a plasma cutter, got some scraps of sheet metal and started drawing up templates that we could cut out to make art pieces with.

We made clocks and candle holders, Halloween themed metal bats and even scenery of shadow figures and landscapes. We would cut the metal out, paint and put it together. Take picture and then try to sell them online.

We started with a very simple Etsy shop, but the memory of past internet marketing still lingered in my mind.

Over the past couple years the business plan has changed and today is far from what we started our business as.

I wanted to learn how to promote our virtual shop and that lead to a slippery slope of internet marketing products.

For the next two years I bought product after product that told me how to make my internet fortune. It wasn’t long before the Etsy shop was gone and the plasma cutter was collecting dust on the shelf.

For two years I tried building websites, creating products and I even hired a “Coach”. Now you might have noticed that I put quotes around the word coach there. The reason being, it was no more coaching than I could have got off YouTube for free. It was a huge mistake and a lesson learned to the tune of well over eight thousand dollars.

I was looking for the big secret, and they told me everything I needed to hear.

By this time we were living in St. George Utah and Kristi was not really involved anymore, and looking back now I don’t blame her. I was all over the place and was constantly talking about the next big launch and product only to be let down over and over again.

Kristi sat with me each week as we called in and listened to our coach, but then something happened that changed everything.

Our son Oliver was going to day care and we picked him up one afternoon, his face was very swollen and his eyes were almost completely closed. I have horrible allergies and assumed that he got allergies from me and was just having a bad day.

We decided to see how he was overnight and then take him to the doctor in the morning if it didn’t go away.

Well the next morning it did not go away and that was the day everything changed.

Kristi took Oliver to the quick care and the doctor took one look at him and said get him to the ER immediately there is something wrong with his heart of kidneys. That was beyond terrifying to hear and to this day I can still remember my heart stopping for a second and getting sick as my wife told me what the doctor just said.

As the day went on Oliver was admitted to the hospital and it was determined that his kidneys were leaking protein into his urine and he was retaining water. They treated him and we were released a few days later.

Over the past two and a half years we have made that trip a couple times and Oliver has had a few stays in the hospital.

We moved back to Las Vegas shortly after that, and then in October of 2011 we moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to family.

In may of this year Oliver was diagnosed with a kidney disease and it’s not the one we expected it to be, it means that he is going to have some challenges and it means that things are much different for our family.

When that diagnosis was given to us it was pretty close to the most devastating news a parent could receive. I’m not trying to take away from anything that people are going through because I know there are things that are much worse, but as a parent we don’t even want our children to go through the misery of a cold let alone weekly blood test and hospital stays.

It was a hard time for me and I could have very well lost my way.

For some reason and maybe it was subconscious because I knew that I was about to have some hard times one day about two weeks before we got the diagnosis I decided to make a positive mental adjustment.

For three years I was glued to news, all day long everyday and I was consumed by the negativity of it all.

One day I shut off the radio, shut off the news and started to replace that with positive messages of encouragement and uplifting stories.

I got on iTunes and searched motivational speakers.

Of course the first one to come up was Zig Ziglar and so I downloaded about thirty podcasts.

They were only about eight to ten minutes long each, but each one had a little story. Each one had a little message and each one had a little training.

I put them on my iPhone and listened throughout the day.

The morning we received the diagnosis I had listened to a podcast that literally lifted me through the day and kept me on my feet. So many time I wanted to drop to my knees and cry, I instead looked up.

Zig ended a podcast with the story of a new sailor that went out to sea and there was a huge storm. The new sailor was directed to the crows nest atop the mast and the squalls where coming fast and furiously. As the young sailor reached his position he looked down and immediately became dizzy and started to loose balance. From below an old timer yelled out “Look up young man, look up”. Almost immediately as he looked up he regained his footing and his vision cleared.

Each time as I became dizzy and overwhelmed with heartache I could hear his voice say “look up young man, look up!” Each time I would look up and instantly regain my footing.

I immediately knew that life was going to be different and that I had to start living differently.

I kept thinking of gratitude for everything and every person in my life, and the thought pay it forward kept coming to mind. Maybe it was selfish or maybe it’s not but I decided that I had to do something to start paying it forward, just in case one day way down the road we might need a little extra help and a little lift from someone else.

I have been blessed to have had great opportunities in my life of which all I had to work my ass off to get, but great opportunities non the same.

I am in a position right now that I can give back and I can pay it forward so that is what I am doing and that is the reason of the creation of Team L.O.V.E.

When I listened to those words of encouragement I started to focus on gratitude and that simple act started inviting things into my life that I would have never imagined.

For example who would have thought that just a few months ago that a phone call from an auto-dialer would have changed the entire direction of my life and business.

I listened to the message and jotted down the web address. A bit later I entered it into my browser and here it is a few months later and you are reading this.

I was not looking for another business, in fact I was in the process of closing my internet business deleting my email marketing lists, and shutting down my niche websites. I was so sick of affiliate marketing and the constant changes I was just done.

I was not looking for a business I was looking for a message of hope and encouragement.

I was looking for a mission that followed close to my new mission and that’s when I found the Empower Network.

I watch this crazy video that starts out with an engineer who started part time and now makes six figures a month. I was immediately intrigued because you know what, I’m an engineer and I was interested in what he was doing.

As soon as that video finished I just joined.

I didn’t even think about it, because I was so moved by the video and it seemed to me at the time and still to this day that I received that phone call by destiny.

In the past few short months getting involved with the Empower Network has given me a place to share my story and share something that I believe in.

I have been an entrepreneur for many years now and I have had many many failures. Something that has happened with all the failures is that I have learned a bit about business and marketing and that is how I can pay it forward.

The best thing that I can do is share everything I know with people that are seeking what I have learned already. The best thing I can do is lead by example and then with my success help give back and guide others to their success.

In the past few months some remarkable things have happened that have helped to offset the struggles that we have faced this year.

By having a place to vent and share my story I have been able to connect with people I would have never met before. People that share with no holding back and are dedicated to each and every persons success.

It’s more than a business, it’s more than making money online its… TEAM BUILDING.

It’s a simple mission and a simple message.

I know that each and every person who reads this is in a different place and are going through struggles of their own. I also know that no matter where you are in life, no matter where you live, no matter you background and no matter what you are doing right now… This is in fact the perfect time to make a change.
