Using Bands for Your Exercise Equipment

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

People always ask me… What exercise equipment do you use?

Lots of different exercise equipment…. my one of my favourites is the exercise band or exercise tube.

Exercise Bands

This awesome piece of exercise equipment is available in varying strengths or resistance levels which make them suitable for beginners or advanced exercisers. They are also great for any age or if you are recovering from an injury. And you can take them anywhere! If you travel a lot or find it difficult to make time for the gym they are super easy to pack and take with you:-)

I also prefer this piece of exercise equipment over heavier, bulkier pieces (eg kettlebells) because you can transport them so easily… in your bag, car, suitcase, tuck them under the bed or in a draw etc etc.

This piece of exercise equipment can do all your favourites!

Resistance band exercises are often based on familiar resistance training moves. Lets use the bicep curl for example. If you stand on one end of the band and curl your arm up while holding the other end, you’ve replaced your standard dumbbell bicep curl.
