Many men desire a six pack – as it is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also symbolizes other positive aspects that are associated with ultimate body sculpting, such as ambition, hard work and skill. If you are such a man, you need to be aware of this fact: to achieve and maintain a six pack, you have to lose your excess body fat and strengthen your abs. Although this may sound simple, it can be challenging, especially if don’t know how to go about it. But when you follow the right procedure, you can even get a six pack even in a week! This article discusses ways to getting a six pack, losing body fat, as well as living healthier.

To lose extra fat on your abs and ultimately build a six pack in a week, you have to burn more calories than you bring in with drinks and food. This will require you to take up vigorous exercises and start living an active life (if you are not doing so already). Undertaking cardio workouts can be very helpful in reducing belly fat. You can take up jogging, running, dancing, bike riding, rowing, or a combination of several of these. Incorporating interval training (short busts of intense exercises followed by periods of low or no activity) into your workout routine will dramatically accelerate the results.

A healthy diet plan made up of several smaller meals spread throughout your day will also be essential in losing fat. Such a diet should typically exclude sugary cereals and simple starches like potatoes and refined wheat. Try eating more proteins, whole foods, and drink lots of water. Make sure you get adequate sleep.

To strengthen your abs, you need to undertake a number of intensive, targeted workouts. The first one is of course – sit ups. Sit ups help work abdominal core muscles, leading to development of a six pack. While doing your sit ups, ensure you keep your feet on the ground and your back straight. Adding more challenges, such as incline bench and weights, to your sit ups will boost the results. There are also twisting machines that you can use while undertaking your sit ups. Doing jackknife sit ups, butt ups and pull ups while hanging from a bar also helps work abdominal core muscles.

The other exercise routines that will help you to develop a six pack are crunches, leg lifts, and ab roller exercise. Crunches will flex and work your abdominal muscles, as you raise your shoulders from the ground. While doing your crunches, try not to lift your back entirely, as this may lead to back strain. On leg lifts, adding more challenges, such as using a bar at the gym to raise body frame up using your hands as support and dangling your legs and doing the leg lifts with some weight hanging from your feet, will improve the results. Exercises that will make your core to push hard to support your spine, such as deadlifts and squats, are also very handy in developing a six pack. So make sure you include them in your workout regimen.

Note that, as you try to lose excess fat and strengthen your abs in order to develop a six pack, you need to keep a close eye on your health progress to gauge your success or failure and avoid any complications that may arise.
