Kevin & Melissa Knecht

Worry is a prayer for something you do not want, which is the kind of line that reorganises an afternoon. Kevin and Melissa Knecht build most of their writing around ideas that compact, and they credit where each one came from instead of passing them off.

The strongest post concerns indecision. It borrows the notion of somebody hoarding options the way a miser hoards savings, unable to choose because choosing means losing everything not chosen, and ending up imprisoned by the freedom they were protecting. Anybody who has spent a year comparing opportunities will recognise themselves.

There is a good argument about the habit of celebrating the end of the week, traced back to school and the way children learn to endure rather than enjoy. There is also a post on how affirmations can work against you, which is braver than the usual treatment.

Nine posts, all short. Read the decision one if you have been weighing something up for longer than it deserves.
