When was the last time that you shared a video or picture on Facebook and got paid for it?
I’m going to take a wild guess and say maybe never.
Little do a lot of people know,
Sharing a picture or video that you found on a webpage, or on your FB home feed, is an example of a daily activity you and many people in your network participate in, however are don’t realize of the fact that someone is getting paid heavy duty for it.
This is what blows my mind is that,
90% of the income producing activities someone can follow online is strictly web promotion, social media promotion being a critical component in advertising. (like sharing and re tweeting)
Users are Facebook’s product. We as a product, users, sell their attention to its customers, who include advertisers and online gaming companies such as Zynga.
Thing #2 : “Like”
Second to sharing, liking a trending post or video is something that awakens a spiral of web promotion activities, or what I like to call “The Viral Factor”.

Whether its a video on Miley Cyrus at the VMAs, the latest CNN breaking news on Syria, or something as intriguing on how you can make more money than a doctor sharing viral posts.
Maybe you were on Facebook and stumbled across a big sale Macy’s was having on Black Friday last year and wanted to make sure all of your friends were aware of the discounts immediately.
What are the first two things you did automatically to make sure your friends got their hands on it?

We as Facebook users already promote massive amounts of information through out the social network giant.
