What is the difference between winners and losers?

A lot or not much?

I think you maybe surprised!

To me winning is all about mentality, it’s about what you think and what thoughts you choose to accept and entertain. One thought that comes to mind is the Liverpool v AC Milan Champions League Final, at half time Liverpool were 3-0 down, but come to the final whistle they were crowned Champions League Winners! Were they different in the 1st half to the 2nd? I don’t believe so; who of us would have given up at half time and accepted defeat?

Doesn’t matter what football (soccer) team you support, Liverpool that day were winners because thet deserve it.

Differences between winners and losers?

Winners believe in the possible and don’t focus on the impossible. They may see the difficulties but that doesn’t stop them reaching their goal. They actively look for the solution and don’t give up. Losers see the difficulties and give up, because it’s too hard.

Winners see the gain, they see what will happen when they see it through to the end. They keep their eyes on the prize. Losers see the pain and decide that it’s not worth it, they decide the pain is unbearable and they stop reaching for their goal. Losers are short-sighted and haven’t the wisdom to see success is a marathon.

Winners see the possibilities not the problem. They get excited about what could happen, they don’t get despondent when life throws up problems. They see life as an opportunity, as a chance to create something positive. Winners see opportunities to succeed and they go for it.

Winners and Losers

Winners are pro-active, Losers are reactive. Winners go make life happen, they plan, take chances and enjoy the ride. Losers wait for things to happen to them and react according to what life throws at them. Winners throw things at life.

So to go back to my question at the beginning of the post what’s the difference between winners and losers?

Outlook.

The outlook is different. Winners look at what the results could be, losers look at the problems along the way. Winners have a long-term view, Losers see what is right in front of them.
