Peanut Butter Pie in the Sky

The best part about a peanut butter pie is how easy it is to make. I think one of the reasons I love it, is because it doesn’t require any baking, and the prep time is minimal.

If you are ready for a luscious recipe, then hang onto your hats because this recipe is so simple and so good, that you just will not believe it.

All you need is a prepared pie shell which is great if you are short on time. You can choose a standard graham cracker crust pie shell, or you can choose a chocolate pie shell.

You will need:

  • 4 ounces of cream cheese softened,
  • 1 cup of confectioner’s sugar,
  • ½ cup of creamy peanut butter (it mixes better),
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1- 8 ounce container of whipped topping.

Take a large mixing bowl, and beat the cream cheese until it’s soft and fluffy. Once it’s fluffy like a meringue you will want to add in the peanut butter as well as the sugar.

Slowly pour in the milk and continue to mix until it becomes silky smooth.

You will then fold the whipped cream into the mixture, and once you stir it in slowly, you will pour that mixture into the pie shell.

You simply need to freeze it until it firms up, and then serve your creamy peanut butter pie.

Variations of a Decadent Peanut Butter Pie

If you have a passion for peanut butter pie, then you already know that you can put as many variations on this as you wish. This means you can add just about whatever you want, but be careful not all ingredients are created equal.

One of my personal favorites is adding in peanut butter cup halves, but make sure they are equally divided.

If you know that you or someone else will be eating this pie has trouble chewing, then you may want to put them in a food processor while slightly frozen to break them up a bit, and then mix them into your peanut butter pie.

You should also know that rather than freezing the pie, you can opt to put it into the refrigerator for four hours so that it sets to be just firm enough.

Either way, you will enjoy a peanut butter pie that tastes great, and is enjoyable for everyone.

Get the Most Out of Your Peanut Butter Pie

Those who are having many guests should exercise caution and prepare more than one pie if necessary. One standard size pie shell will yield about 6 to 8 servings.

I will warn you though that with peanut butter pie this good, everyone will want bigger slices of pie!
