Yesterday, I got an email from a business associate with the subject line: Creative. The email caught my attention immediately with that subject line, because our emails usually revolve around business deals that have a more serious nature. For a minute, I thought he came up with some creative ideas on how we could get some of our deals closed. So when I opened up the email, I was surprised that there was there just a link to a music video by the Canadian indie band Walk Off the Earth.
I never heard of the group before, but I noticed that their song “Somebody That I Used to Know” got 50 million hits just in one month after being uploaded on January 5, 2012 on YouTube. Watch the video of their song “Somebody That I Used to Know” below.
So why did this Walk Off the Earth music video get 50 million hits?
It’s creative.
It’s entertaining.
It’s original.
It’s very cool.
It’s fun.
It makes you feel good.
That’s how your blog should be. Let’s face it…there are millions of blogs out there in the world. So being creative is super important.
