Got my Ass kicked today

I mean I really got my ass kicked today… self inflicted.

Let me explain.

So, this year I decided to hire someone to mow my lawn. I live in Pearland, Texae which is about a 15 minute drive to down town Houston.

I’ve always liked mowing my own lawn. I like being out in the sun and I enjoy the smell of fresh cut grass. But, it can really get hot here and this year I decided to hire someone to cut the front part of the yard. My back yard is fenced in and it’s a lot smaller that the front. So I figured I’ll pay someone to do the front and I’ll still be able to enjoy the sun and fresh cut grass smell without getting my ass kicked.

How I got my ass kicked today.

Earlier this week I had my lawn guy trim all the bushes around the front of the house. There’s a lot of bushes out front. I used to do it myself and it would take me 3 or 4 hours. And of course I’d get my ass kicked in the process.

The mistake I made was to not have my guy Jose take care of the back of the house and only had him do the front. Big mistake!

I have 4 large bushes and about 40 feet of some short shrubs. No big deal… or, so I thought. Needless to say it I got my ass kicked and gained a major headache.

I ended up spending like 3 hours in the hot sun and I filled up 8 large trash bags full of clippings. As I am writing this, it’s 10:40 pm and I still have a slight headache.

I think I learned my lesson.

Hey, if you use a lawn service make sure to take good care of those guys.  I mean it is hot as heck out there and these guys spend all day mowing lawns. They start early in the morning and go all day sometimes till dusk. Just think about that and don’t under pay them.

Don’t get your ass kicked like I did.

you can do it
