Success in business

What does it really take to have Success in Business?

It basically comes down to a few things. First, there is gathering customers or clients that will use your product or service. To obtain new customers or clients will require some kind of marketing. That could be print ads, radio, flyers, joining the local chamber of commerce or even a billboard. Obviously, once you have a few customers you want to make sure they have a positive experience that will create return visits as well as word of mouth advertising. If you under promise and over deliver on the service you provide you are almost guaranteed repeat visits and referrals from happy customers.

What places do you give the most business? What is the reason you continue to use the same business year after year? It more than likely has to do with the people you interact with at the business. Success in business has a lot to do with building relationships with the customers and clients that frequent the establishment.

For example my wife Grace, our son Chase and I go to this restaurant every week. Sure we go because we like the food, but we also have the same waitress every time.  Because she knows what drinks we like she brings them right over to us when we are seated. And of course because we know her and she takes good care of us she gets a bigger tip.

Now, if you are service provider like a real estate agent, insurance agent, plumbing, carpet cleaner or any other type of service business, isn’t building customer loyalty a must. I happen to use a service called SendOutCards to send all my new customers a Thank You card. Success in business is all about separating yourself from the competition. When was the last time you got a “Thank You” card from a business that you paid a few hundred dollars for their service? I’d bet not too often. Have you ever gotten a birthday card from someone you give a lot of business to? And I mean a real card without anything about there business or a logo on the card. Just a simple birthday card without a business agenda. Most insurance agents send you a post card that says “Happy Birthday” and then they cheapen it with their logo or they mention their business on it. I know who the hell you are! You can take your cheap ass post card with “Happy Birthday” and shove it! They don’t even take the time to fill it out themselves. It’s bulk mail and they never even see it.

Here is how I send out my cards www.nicemail.biz

Having success in business is simply going the extra mile to do what your completion is too lazy to do.

you can do it
