Prosthetic Limbs – Terminator Arm
Nigel Ackland, 53, answered some questions from a video response to show how the false arm was changing his life.
He lost his arm in an accident several years ago but thanks to the technology now being used in Prosthetic Limbs, Nigel can now tie his shoe and also drink a nice cold beer..
bebionic3 myoelectric (double corr) hand, which is also made from aluminium and alloy knuckles, moves like a real human limb by responding to Nigel’s muscle twitches. Incredibly, the robotic arm is so sensitive it means Nigel can touch type on a computer keyboard, peel vegetables, and even dress himself for the first time in six years.
Thanks to Nigel and all other Amputees for continuing to Adapt and Prove that… As Long As There is A Will… There is A Way…
