Badassery is, more than anything, a state of mind—strong, independent, and free from BS. Above all else, a badass mindset is one of an independent thinker. For instance, he or she doesn’t follow orders immediately without considering the larger implications, and isn’t a slave to ridiculous trends or fashions. That’s not to say badasses can’t take direction or be well-dressed, but they do so with careful consideration behind their actions. Ask yourself what actions you’ve been lulled into doing mindlessly, and rethink why and how you do it. You might end up sticking to your current course, but at least it’s one you chose.

So what does that mean?  What is a badass mindset?  I’ll tell you what is ISN’T first … It isn’t what 95% of the population has.

Those are the people who are brought up and taught to think like the masses.  They believe that we to go to school, to college, we get a JOB, we get married and we have kids.  We live from paycheck to paycheck and hope for a raise every now and then.

We look forward to our yearly holiday of two weeks (maybe 3 if we’ve got a ‘great job’), and wish we could have “just one more week”.  How many times have YOU said that … “I could use just one more week!”

We show up for work when someone tells us to.  We go for lunch when someone tells us to, and we go home when someone tells us it’s okay.

Does that remind you of something?  Doesn’t that sound more like … well … prison?

We look forward to two whole days (!!!) of time OFF at the end of the week.  Or maybe one whole day, for those that have to work 6 days a week.

THIS is what the average week looks like for the people who DO NOT have a badass mindset:

• They’re depressed on Monday
• Dull and numb by Tuesday
• Waiting to get over the hump on Wednesday
• Things are looking up by Thursday
• Can’t wait for 5 o’clock on Friday
• Party it up on Saturday
• Start to feel depressed again on Sunday.

Right?  Then what?  We continue this routine for 40, 50, 60 years, no questions asked.  We hate our jobs.  We hate our boss.  We hate our co-workers.  We hate getting up so early in the morning.  We hate getting home so late at night.  We hate being broke.  We hate the commute.  We hate being away from our children.  We hate that we HAVE TO WORK!

After that, we retire.  A lot of us still have to live paycheck to paycheck, or struggle even more because we our income is even lower.

Does that sound like a badass mindset to you?

Okay, so some of you are saying, “But I love my job!”  Well, that’s great!  You’re very fortunate.  Not many people can say that.  BUT REALLY?  You still have to show up when someone tells you to, go to lunch when someone tells you to, and … well, you get the picture.  You’re still in PRISON!

You still have to do that boring routine for 40, 50, 60 years with only so many weeks’ vacations, so many days off a week.

Some people thing they’re pretty badass because they usually start their own business.  They can call the shots.  That’s better, but that STILL doesn’t give them the badass mindset that I’m talking about.  They’re still tied down to the J.O.B.  They can even be the president of the company, or CEO, they are STILL tied DOWN!

Now let me tell you what IS a badass mindset, and how YOU can get one!

A person with a badass mindset (only 5% of the population, remember), thinks outside the box.  They take their life into their own hands.  They think for themselves and don’t just believe what people tell them to believe.  They ask questions, and they look for answers.

They’re not content with the 9-5 grind.  They know it’s the conditioning of being raised a certain way.  They believe there’s another way.  They KNOW there’s another way, and will look until they find it.  But they WILL keep looking, not ever content until they do.

Those with a badass mindset are usually a noticeably different breed.  People know they’re different, and they’re not always easily understood.  They have a thirst for more and they’re not satisfied with being tied down to the norms of society.  They rebel in their thinking and go against the grain.  They seek alternative means to an end.

The TRUE badass finds a way to make an income that allows them to live a comfortable live while having the freedom of time and finances to live a better life.  They can get up when they want, work in their pajamas if they chose, go to the beach, and still make money.  “How?”, you ask?  By becoming a network marketer.  Network marketing is become an industry.  A booming, viable industry.
