You have lietteraly been getting a free education on the industry that will help you skip months of a learning curve that took me about 6 months to learn.
This article will dive into Affiliate Marketing and a few things needed to really make commissions.
There are a few ways to make commissions but there is ONLY a few things needed to make getting commissions effective.
1. Capture Page
2. Sales Page
3. Auto Responder (aweber, getresponse, icontact, mailchimp)
Affiliate Marketing – Capture Page
A capture page is like the front of a Walmart Store. It has a HUGE sign to capture people’s attention and arise interest in going into the store.
On the internet, its not that much different. A capture page serves as a form of “breaking attention” so that the person may have an interest in putting in their e-mail address.
This is very important and in fact is crucial to your Affiliate Marketing success. We will go over why a bit later.
Affiliate Marketing – Sales Page
A sales page is exactly that. Its a page completely designed to sell a particular product that a given prospect may be looking to buy.
You may have run across this on the internet. You look for a product online and you may click on something and you will get forwarded to a sales page.
The sales page is what ultimately will allow you to make a commission.
Sometimes, its not apparent. Some sales pages look really good and professionally made. Which is good because it is supposed to look presentable.
However, there are some key components that the sales page must have in order for it to sell well.
The reason is that some people who are looking to buy a particular product may not buy on the first look of the product.
This is where an Auto Responder comes in.
Affiliate Marketing – Auto Responder
This is the last piece of the puzzle. An auto responder, like Aweber, is designed for one purpose only.
That is to send “automatic” emails to the person to put in their email address in your capture page.
Thats It! But here is the reason why its so important. Statistics demonstrate that MOST people don’t buy on the first look of a product.
It like you when you are looking to buy a TV. You search around and if you find the one you like, you may just go to different stores and check it out.
It took me about 10 visits to a store to buy my TV. Its just the way it is.
So an auto responder will follow up with the prospect who gave you their email address exposing them to that same product.
And then the best thing in the world happens. The prospect buys from you and you get a commission.
Now, after you made that commission, you just simply repeat the process and make as many commissions as you want.
This is the really one of the biggest potentials in affiliate marketing.
