When most of us begin to think about starting a home business the whole thing just seems way too hard? It’s overwhelming!! Most people find there are 3 huge obstacles when they start a home business. You have no idea what you’re doing, you don’t know how to get customers, and you lose all balance in your life.
Does any of this sound familiar? I had all 3 of these problems. I was completely overwhelmed and scared to death when I started. But, I found an amazing company that helped me solve all of these problems.
1) No idea what you’re doing or where to start. This is an esay one to solve. When you’re just starting out & have no idea what to do, you want a company that has a proven system. There is no reason why you should have to figure out everything for yourself. A system that is getting results for others is a great place to start. It gives you a guideline to follow & makes running your business a whole lot easier.
2) No idea how to find customers or make sales. No one wants to feel like a slimey salesperson. Unfortunately, when most people start a business that’s exactly the feeling you get. You don’t want your friends and family to be your customers. You want to find customers that actually WANT your products. That’s why you need marketing training. You need to learn how to find customers, how to communicate so you don’t come off as a slimey salesperson, & how to make it as easy as possible.
3) It seems like you lose all balance in your life. We are all super busy even before we start a business. We’ve spent years perfecting a balance between family, jobs, errands, obligations, and hopefully even fit in a little time for ourselves. When you add a homebusiness to the mix it can throw everything out of whack. Starting out, your business is going to take a lot of time. There’s training, learning how to do everything, and experiencing your products. It’s so easy to feel like there’s not enough hours in the day.
The easiest way to solve this problem is a schedule, a timer, & some help. Figure out how much time a day you can spend on your business, then put it in your schedule. Even if it’s one hour a night before bed, schedule it & that’s YOUR TIME. Next you need a timer to divvy up your work time. This keeps you from wasting time. Spend no more than half the time in learning mode & make sure you take some action for your business every session. Doesn’t matter if it’s writing a blog post, doing a video, posting to groups, or building your email list, just make sure you do something.
Most importantly…don’t be afraid to ask for help. Have someone pick the kids up from school, help you clean, make dinner, walk the dog, whatever it is that will make things easier. This way you’re not just adding anther thing to your To-Do list, you’re swapping it out. I can’t tell you how helpful this step is. I will warn you that this is the hardest step if you’re a control freak like I was.
You’re starting a business to create your real life perfect, so always make sure that however you decide to solve the problems that come up, the solution feels right for you.
