What Is Freedom? How Do YOU Define It?

Today’s quote of the day touches on a topic I absolutely love. 

Freedom.

What is freedom to YOU?

How do you define freedom?

I have a rather simplistic definition of freedom that I hold dear. It may be a bit idealistic, but it’s my story and I’m sticking to it….

Freedom, to me, is the ability for me to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want. 

That definition, although appearing simplistic, is the best way for me to define freedom in a way that embodies my ultimate goal in life. 

You may define freedom in another way and that is totally fine. It’s a free country….

Or is it?

Though many of us are living lives with some degree of freedom, how many of us are actually living freely as embodied in the definition of freedom I just shared?

I’d venture to guess that a low percentage of us do. 

Is my vision for freedom unrealistic? Is it impossible for one to live life in that way?

We do have to be “reasonable” after all, right?

Is freedom, as I define it, a pipe dream only those with their heads in the clouds aspire to?

Maybe I should keep my feet on solid ground and realize that my definition of freedom is unattainable and set a more realistic goal. Right?

Nah, I’ll pass….I rather stick to my guns.

Why, you ask?

Because there are many people who ARE living life in that way.

And they’re living that life because they first believed that life was possible. Then, because of they held that vision for their life, they sought out opportunities (or attracted them) which allowed them to pursue that vision. 

And they didn’t quit until their faith-backed action got them to their destination.

So, do YOU think freedom is possible for you? Or have you resigned to a life of servitude?

I’ve made my decision. It’s time for you to make yours.
