Lee Min Ho as Lee Yoon Sung/John Lee – The City Hunter. Raised by Steve Lee (surrogate father) as an assassin to get revenge on those who killed his real father.
Park Min Young as Kim Na Na – Presidential bodyguard who falls in love with the City Hunter
Lee Joon Hyuk as Kim Young Joo – Prosecutor who is City Hunter’s rival and tries to find out City Hunter’s true identity.
Kim San Joon as Lee Jin Pyo/Steve Lee – City Hunter’s surrogate father
Kang San Ho as Bae Man Duk/Bae Shik Joong – A very good cook who is in a lot of gambling debt. He is taken in by City Hunter and becomes his partner in the Steve Lee’s plot for revenge.
Hwang Sun Hee as Jin Sae Hee – Young Joo’s ex-wife who ends up helping City Hunter.

City Hunter Korean Drama Review:
Love this drama! An absolute MUST watch. Love the good guys/bad guys revenge storyline. Love the romance. Love the characters playing the roles. Love the ahh, everything… Even the title is drenched in suspense and mystery. I was blown away by the first episode. Totally not expecting Lee Min Ho to be playing this type of character since his first couple of good dramas weren’t anything action. But he has completely proved that he can play an assassin character VERY well and not just those “flowery” ones. 🙂
Our little boy has grown in to a MAN and can now receive my hottie stamp! Heehee. Ahhh…and that hair over the right eye, mysterious look, too HOT! 😉
City Hunter Korean Drama Summary:
A team of agents were assembled to kill several top members of North Korea’s high officials in retaliation for planting a bomb that injured several South Korean agents during a visit to Burma. Lee Jin Pyo and Park Moo Yul (Yoon Sung’s father) were best friends and part of this team. Partway through the mission, South Korean officials decide to abort the mission in fear of an international crisis. The mission was successful, however, the South Korean officials decided to wipe out the entire team of agents to prevent word from leaking out. Park Moo Yul was injured and sacrificed his life to save Lee Jin Pyo so he could escape.
Jin Pyo kidnaps Moo Yul’s son (Yoon Sung, John Lee, and later City Hunter) and devises a plan to avenge his comrades. He trains Yoon Sung to become an assassin. After completing his studies at MIT in the United States, Yoon Sung enters Blue House as an IT expert which allows him to be closer to his targets.
Here he meets Kim Na Na who does not know he is actually the City Hunter. He and his father eventually are at odds as to how the revenge mission should unfold. Kim Na Na helps City Hunter with his revenge mission. Will they be successful? Will they be found out? Will good guys die in the process?
