I’m sure you’ve heard this saying before. But admit it, it’s true. When you over-complicate things you never seem to get anything done.
Tonight I was watching the Masters of the Universe webinar (no, not the movie). I loved what Tracy Walker said when someone entered in the chat box that they were a beginner who was overwhelmed with all the training and information. Her answer was great.
She said, just the fact that this person stated they were overwhelmed is the reason why they aren’t seeing results like they want. Her advice was to let go of those thoughts and start focusing on one thing.
Stick with the 8 core commitments. That’s it.
First, log into your Empower Network back office.
Second, click on the big green button that says “log in and start blogging”.
Third, start typing.
I’m guilty of losing sight of this concept too. I need little reminders like this to stay focused on the simplest of tasks. It is so important to blog every day. You may not understand why or how it works, but you really don’t need to in the beginning. You just need to do it. Blog every day. At least one blog, better if it is two or three blog posts.
Another great piece of advice from tonight’s call is to take one or two things that you’re really good at such as social media or video marketing. Then, go to the 15K formula and study the modules that pertain to those two techniques. Study them until they become second nature, then move on to another technique.
The point is, you don’t have to master everything right off the bat. Keep things simple. Go back and watch the 8 core commitments again and stick to them. You’ll be amazed at the results you’ll get.
