LinkedIn Ads announces the LinkedIn Ads API
Benefits offered by the new feature
- The LindIn Ads Api allows the users to easily generate simultaneous campaigns and test a lot of creative elements across Linkein’s B2B targeting facets.
- Another benefit included within the LinkedIn Ads api is a feature that turns simplier to optimize your goals by allowing the reallocation of marketing spend across channels in LinkedIn.
Before LinkedIn Ads Api was released, everyone who chooses run a marketing campaign using Linkedin Ads has been monitoring some specific points of their campaigns via Linkedin self-serve interface. This new feature was one of the most frequently requested by regular users, reason why the company was very proud of announcing the Linkedin Ads Api Program to some partners.
Linkedin Ads Api – Anyone can use?
Unfortunately, at the date this article was written, this new advantage could only be used by a select number of companies, or as they called “premier social marketing agency partners” such as Unified, Adobe and Bizo.
LinkedIn Ads Review
Now that we covered a little bit about the LinkedIn Ads API why not to make an analysis about Linkedin Ads in general.
For which type of advertisers can Linkedin Ads be really worth it?
First let’s see the difference between LinkedIn Ads and Google Adwords program.
- There is a minimum budget requirement within LinkedIn Ads; the minimum allowed is 10 dollars per day, besides there is also a minimum bid per click which is impressively 2 dollars per click. That is the deal-breaker for a lot of small businesses, reason why I said that it is recommended to B2B types of companies.
Another big difference is related to the average click-through-rates.
As a rule you can consider a click-through rate above 0.025% as a pretty good rate.
Using LinkedIn it is possible to find really target traffic, but as we cannot bid for keywords, we have to compare LinkedIn Ads CTR as if we were bidding for websites using Google Adwords.
