Born Lee Jun-fan on 27 November 1940, Bruce Lee was a Chinese American martial artist, Hong Kong action film actor, martial arts instructor and filmmaker.
The founder of Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee was the son of Cantonese opera star Lee Hoi-Chuen. He is extensively deemed by commentators, critics, media along with other martial artists to be one in the most influential martial artists of all time, along with a pop culture icon on the 20th century.
Bruce Lee is often credited to have transform the way Asians have been presented in American films.
Bruce Lee was born in Chinatown, San Francisco to parents from Hong Kong and was raised in Kowloon with his family till his late teens.
He was introduced to the film business by his father and appeared in many films as a child actor.
Bruce Lee moved towards the Usa at the age of 18 to acquire his education, and it was during this time that he started teaching martial arts.
His Hong Kong and Hollywood-produced films elevated the standard Hong Kong martial arts film to a brand new degree of reputation and acclaim, sparking a surge of interest in Chinese martial arts inside the West within the 1970s.
