Memory Improvement Techniques

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

There are many memory improvement techniques that you can do in order to improve your memory power. But I will only tell you about the most efficient memory improvement techniques.

One of the best ways to memorize something is by using mnemonic devices. A mnemonic device is just a little phrase or maybe a rhyme to help you remember information. Singing a short song about the alphabet will make it easier for you to remember it in order, right?

A, B, C, D E F, G…lalalala you know the rest of the song… LOL

Well this is a good example of a mnemonic device. Thanks to the song you can remember the exact order of the whole alphabet. You can apply this technique to anything that you want to remember.

Using mnemonic devices is only one of the best memory improvement techniques you can use.

There are other memory improvement techniques you can use to improve your memorization power. Exercising your brain every day is a technique you shouldn’t forget. By exercising your brain every day you are only making it stronger.

Do a puzzle a day, or do one session of the game Sudoku. Play a memorization game with your children or your friends. There are many memorization games you can find online, try to play them every day. Just do something that requires you to use your brain! Lol

You want to have fun while doing it. Learn to have fun while you exercise your brain. Involve your children in these memory improvement techniques; they will thank you later when they get old as their memory will stay in good conditions for a very long time thanks to you.

One of the best memory improvement techniques would be eating healthy!
Learn and get used to eat healthy almost all the time. I know that sometimes you can crave fast food and unhealthy dishes, and that’s okay but we shall never forget about the healthy food.

Some fruits, vegetables, grain and fish can help you keep a healthy memory. Here is a list of the best foods you need to have in your diet if you want a healthy memory:

Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, bok choy. spinach, collard and mustard greens, kale and Swiss chard. Berries (all varieties), cherries, black currents, eggplant, red, black, and purple grapes, plums, rhubarb, red onion, red apples, red/purple cabbage, and red beets. Onions (red, yellow, white), kale, leeks, cherry tomato, broccoli, blueberries, black currants, elderberries, apricots, apple with skin (Red Delicious), and red, purple, and black grapes.

Include most of these foods in your diet and challenge your brain once in a while. By doing this you will notice a huge memory improvement very fast.

There are plenty more memory improvement techniques you will learn in this site, just stay around so you can learn all of them.

I hope this short post can help you achieve memory improvement.
