SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION USING GOOGLE’S ADWORDS KEYWORDS TOOL!

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Using Google’s Keyword Adword Tool for SEO!

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION is such a vital aspect to your success Online that it simply can’t be ignored. You need to be able to find good keywords to target, quickly and easily. The only keyword research tool that I use currently is the GOOGLE ADWORDS KEYWORDS TOOL.

It’s the best way to find great keywords for your articles, blogs, videos and websites out there!

It gives you actual numbers from Google itself that tells you the VOLUME OF SEARCHS that are done on a given keyword.

With these numbers, you can IDENTIFY GOOD KEYWORDS that you should be FOCUSING ON FOR YOUR WEBSITE OR BLOGS.

HOW TO USE THIS SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION TOOL MORE EFFECTIVELY:

One simple method for utilizing this tool more effectively is to type in the main keyword of your niche that you are trying to target. This will bring up dozens of other KEYWORD COMBINATIONS that either use that phrase or a similar phrase.

Once you get your results, you can FIND A GOOD NICHE PHRASE to easily rank for by sorting by the Advertiser Competition.

KEY POINT:

NOTE: Look for the keywords that get some search volume, but have little or no advertiser competition!Once you find these keywords, you can go to Google and search for that phrase.

The logic behind this method? if people aren’t paying for these keywords in Adwords, than chances are people aren’t trying to optimize for this phrase on their website! Since there is less competition trying to RANK FOR A PHRASE, there is a better chance you have of getting targeted traffic from that keyword phrase!

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION AND LONGTAIL KEYWORDS:

NEXT, you should optimize for the broad phrases on the main parts of your website, H1, H2, H3 tags and your article/blog titles. Remember, these LONGTAIL PHRASES/KEYWORDS are great for your posts, blogs and articles. You will be suprised by how good your search engine rankings for niche phrases will be!

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION EXAMPLE: let’s say you’re writing on a free or paid Advertising website and you want to market in New York.  Let’s say you’re marketing a Dental Insurance program.  You could have the snazziest, most eye-catching title in the world, but if the search engines don’t sort for some keywords, it’ll have been a waste of time. BE SPECIFIC. If you want it found, title it SPECIFICALLY. Using something like: BEST LOW COST DENTAL COVERAGE IN NEW YORK CITY! That SPECIFICITY will drive SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION and it will get you on page one or two of Google, sometimes within 24 hours!! Try it, experiment with different word combinations. You’ll like it!

Don’t get discouraged if a keyword only has 1,000 visitors per month. That is not a bad thing because if you can get 5% of those visitors each month, that is an additional 50 targeted prospects that will see what you offer, and you do the work once to get ranked.

When using this tool and considering the volume they show there, remember that these numbers do not represent data from other search engines like Yahoo or MSN. So keep in mind that across the board the volume is higher!

REMEMBER: KEYWORD COMBINATIONS/LONGTAIL KEYWORDS ARE the best way to find those great keywords for your articles, blogs, videos and websites! It’s one of the great PILLARS OF SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION!
