Review of Visual Impact Muscle Building – Does It Work?
Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.
Rusty Moore’s workout for men, Visual Impact Muscle Building is one of the industry’s most talked about workout routines. The big difference between the Visual Impact approach and most other muscle building workouts available to buy is that Rusty has tailor made this course for creating a more lean and defined build. This can either be looked at as a positive or a negative.
If you are looking to pack on as much muscle as possible and are not too concerned with the aesthetics of looking lean, proportioned and active, than this is probably not the best option for you to go with. Yes, you can build muscle mass, but there are other programs out there that are geared more towards building size in general.
If you are looking to add lean and defined muscle, this is a good course for sure.
Here are a few of the important aspects that I’ll go over to give you a broad idea of how the course is laid out and how it works:
- The 3 phases of the workout
- Are people getting results / Does it work
- Pricing / Guarantee
- Where to buy
Phases of Visual Impact Muscle Building
If you’ve been searching for and reading different reviews then you probably realize that there are three main phases to Visual Impact Muscle Building.
Phase 1 focus: Sarcoplasmic Hypertrophy (gaining size in the muscle)
Phase 2 focus: Sarcoplasmic + Myofibrilar Hypertrophy + Fat Loss (gaining some size and some definition)
Phase 3 focus: Myofibrillar Hypertrophy + Fat Loss (getting as cut as possible, losing fat and gaining muscle definition)
Each of the three phases of the workout is 2 months long.
In addition to the three main phases there is a “bonus” phase you may be familiar with called the Shrink Wrap Effect. Moore coined this saying while doing some research and examining some of the workout routines that many celebrities follow. In short, it’s a phase where Rusty Moore shows you how to use creatine (not required) along with a weight lifting approach to gain muscle size quickly without the traditional fat gain that comes along.
After this 2-4 week phase you will be noticably leaner and more cut looking. Note: this phase is meant to be done only 2-3 times per year for maximum results … think summer, spring break, vacation, etc.
Does it work or is it a scam?
Rest assured that Visual Impact Muscle Building is not a scam. This is a real workout and real people are using it successfully. Like any diet or workout program though, different individuals will get different results. The bottom line is that you have to put in the time and effort to get good results.
Two of the most well-known users of Visual Impact Muscle Building are Kevin McMillian (hey, that’s me ) and Greg O’Gallagher (one ripped dude).
Here’s a video of Greg showing off his Shrink Wrap results … I’ll show you mine at the end of the article. I can’t put myself next to Greg for a comparison, that wouldn’t be too smart.

So because I’ve done the workout and gotten great results does this make this a biased review? Maybe. Although slightly biased, it is still an honest review. Remember, I told you that this is not some magical workout routine that only requires working out once or twice per week.
The workouts range for 3 days a week to 4 days a week. Of course, you can tailor the days to an extent to fit your needs/schedule, but you have to realize that the best possible results will come from following it as closely as possible.
Pricing / Guarantee
This is actually an important section. If you find someone that is promising some type of discount or something along those lines I’d be weary. I have contacted Rusty through email and he has told me that he is not going to discount his product.
Note: if you he does discount it that is because he changed his mind after talking to me. Not because I’m full of … you know, it.
One of his justifications for the workout is that it will cost you at least this much, if not more, to hire a personal trainer for just one workout. Makes sense. If you’re strapped for money and can’t afford to fork it over, don’t. If you can afford to cut back on your Starbucks for a month and pick this up, I recommend it.
Oh yeah, the good part. The workout is guaranteed for 60 days. Hard to beat that.
If you pick up Visual Impact Muscle Building you can try it out for 60 days. If you don’t like it or don’t get the results you think you should, return it … no questions asked.
Here’s a quote from Rusty’s site:
I am 100% confident that this is the best approach to adding muscle in a way that dramatically improves your appearance. No other product is aimed specifically at achieving this lean “Hollywood” look.
Bottom line, Rusty is confident that you will get results so he knows that as long as you buy his workout, you’ll be happy with the results.
Oh yeah, here’s that picture of my results I promised:
So yeah, I have to give this workout my highest recommendation and I can vouch for it’s effectiveness.
