Dreams: How they connect to Spirituality..

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

IM ALMOST POSITIVEthat you’vewoken up once from one of those dreams and thought “Wow that felt so real. I don’t know if that meant something…” I know I did. Well, dreams are ONE of many ways we receive spiritual messages….

I MEAN NOT ALL dreams are spiritual messages, I’m not saying that….but there IS various….Some dreams are just made up in the mind. The mind wants to re-process what it EXPERIENCED, be it from a movie, or a book….it really depends. It’s also been said that DREAMSthat don’t make sense, are because it’s “the soul’s way of helping other souls in dreams“….I was kind of shocked when I read that. It’s so crazy the way we work and we don’t even know that it’s happening. Other types of dreams are Lucid Dreaming, which is being COMPLETELY aware in your dream….where you can control it.

I’VE DONE LUCID DREAMINGand it is awesome. It’s is a scientifically proven PHENOMENON. It’s like an adventure. You can explore the dream world however you like. When I did it I was in a tropical place…..and walking in the water, but I still realized that I knew I was DREAMING. It’s crazy. If you want to control your dreams you have do perform some tasks. First, you should have a dream journal…preferably when taking a nap. To record what you dream. You should also talk to yourself. Tell yourself that you’ll “remember your dreams” and that you’ll “BE AWARE THAT YOU’RE DREAMING”. Try it and have some fun with it.

NOW BACK TO the matter at hand. When I have some weird dreams, I wonder about them….I ask myself things like “What the hell does that have to do with anything?” I usually go to dreammoods.comto see what they mean because their dream interpretations are astonishingly accurate most times. I once had a dream that I was in a house  with a glass roof during a get together. I saw my dad in front of me talking to someone. And I saw in the sky a HUGE AIRLINER LITERALLY falling down on close to us. I was shocked and ready to make a run for it and I scream to my dad LETS GO WATCH OUT!!!” I’m literally screaming my lungs out to him and he CAN’T hear me. I see the plane going down and it falls and explodes….then I wake up. So I check dreammoods.com  and it said that the dream means that “you’re setting unrealistic goals and unachievable goals for yourself.” I didn’t understand it at first because I didn’t know. But I noticed that at the time I wanted to be hired at a store for an assistant manager position and I didn’t have experience. So I was probably aiming for the stars too early. That’s when I started appreciating dreams and paying attention.

DREAMS ARE JUST awesome, and we should pay attention to them. They can have significant meanings alot of times. They can either speak of our past, present and sometimes our FUTURE. There’s also nightmares, which are mostly just revelations of real life. John Paul Jackson said “ “What you focus on, you make room for. What you fear, you empower.” Wow. The things that God created. We’re so powerful. It only up to us to be conscious enough to understand just WHAT the dreams mean….we’re capable of incredible things yet we neglect them. This is where self-development is very crucial, guys. Wouldn’t you want to be conscious enough to KNOW what your dreams mean? To control them? Of course, we ALL do. Just thinking of the word “dreams” reminds me of the “Everly Brothers” song, “All I have to do is dream.” Do it guys. Read about your dreams. UNDERSTAND what they mean. It’s fun. And you’ll learn about yourself too while you’re at it…..
