Your Dream Home Theater Room…

Who doesn’t love going to the movies?  Heck, I love it.  I don’t even like missing the trailers.  Hot popcorn (with contra-band M&M’s added in), stadium seating…   So when I build my dream home, you can be dang sure I’ll have a Dream Home Theater room, too.

Seriously, what’s not to like about going to the movies?  Big screen, comfy chairs, surround sound… and as long as it’s not ‘Opening Night’ for Batman or Avengers, you may even have the whole theater to yourself.

Is it any wonder that people want to incorporate the theater experience in their homes?

Ideas for your Dream Home Theater…

I already have my dream home picked out.  Fell in love with it the first time I saw it in a Custom Home magazine.   Made it my screensaver.  (I’m not messing around…)

I even drove an hour-and-a-half out of my way one day just to see it in person and take a this picture of the real deal.  (It was part of the “Street of Dreams” in Seattle, 2005)  Told you I wasn’t messin’ around…

It’s got everything I could possibly want in a home for my family… including my dream home theater room.  Check this out… (I can almost hear the surround sound now…)

To make it even better, this dream home theater is right next to this room… complete with mini-kitchen to store the popcorn and M&M’s.  Seriously, you could die a happy person in this room.

There’s only one little problem with this set-up.

This is a 2 story home.  This dream home theater room is way up on the top floor.

To get there, you have to go up all these stairs….

I know, right?

So I got to thinking…

Multiple Dream Home Theaters?

If this is gonna be my dream home, with my dream home theater… why not have a dream home theater for the basement, too?

So I started browsing around this site on HGTV for Dream Home Theaters to get some ideas.  Like these 2 rooms…
