Reading Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich”.

Here’s what I read…
(Keep in mind that this was written in 1937, during the Great Depression… but try and tell me this doesn’t apply to TODAY, RIGHT NOW. It does apply to our day, and you’ll feel it in your gut as you read this)
Here it is:
“The 6 year economic collapse has reduced all men, substantially,to the same level. A new race is about to be run. The stakes represent huge fortunes which will be accumulated over the next 10 years.
The rules of the race have changed, because we now live in a CHANGED WORLD that definitely favors the masses, those who had butlittle or no opportunity to win under the conditions existing during the depression, when fear paralyzed growth and development.
We who are in this race for riches, should be encouraged to know that thischanged world in which we live is demanding new ideas, new ways of doingthings, new leaders, new inventions, new methods of teaching, new methods of marketing, new books, new literature…
Back of all this demand for new and better things, there is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning DESIRE to possess it.
Read that again. And again.
Let it sink in.
Folks, the race has begun.
And you know what? Most people are going to sit back glued to their TV’s, terrified of the news, crossing their fingers, hiding in their cellars waiting for the “all clear” signal…
Or even worse, they’ll spend it not giving a damn about their families because American Idol is on…
…meaning there’s even MORE room at the top for those that are willing to take action.
Folks, there’s so much room at the top it’s ridiculous…
…because most people simply aren’t willing to do what it takes.
Don’t let that be you.

There are no “gurus”… There’s no best-selling authors…
