Never Give Up
Here we go again… telling people to never give up. I’ve talked about stuff like this before, and sometimes I sure feel like a broken record…
But you know what? I don’t care. Because I know that this is perhaps the most critical factor that separates the winners from the losers. The ability to stick with it come hell or high water. The absolute sheer determination to never give up – no matter what – EVER.
Never Give Up, no matter what…
By the way, this isn’t just for people who are struggling… this is also a reminder for those who have “arrived”. I hope you’re not under the illusion that successful people never get down or need to kick their own butts once in awhile. In fact, they probably kick themselves harder than you kick your own butt.
So yeah, you’re in good company because all the great ones have to keep telling themselves to never give up, too.
So if by chance you’re stuck in a self-induced pity-party because you get some sort of weird comfort out of thinking you’re the victim… get over it. The world has NO time for this kind of baby-sitting.
It’s Your Choice – Never Give up. Or Just Quit.
Ok, reality time. I’m not going to sit here and try and think of something super clever to say or quote some “positive thinking” book to try and inspire you.
Here’s a true story a good friend of mine out here in Hawaii shared with me this morning. I shared it with my subscribers within a few minutes of reading it myself.
Within minutes of sending out the email, I received this response from one of my readers…
“You may remember me… I’ll be 62 this year. Just wanted to let you know that I found this mail inspiring, and timely. I found this true story to be uplifting when I can use some good news. So thank you for staying in touch.” Donnie D.
(Awesome. I love having a small part in reminding people just how powerful they really are…!)
This is what’s possible when you make the firm commitment to never give up.

Today I met a Multi-Millionaire by the name of David that now makes Maui his home. He showed me a map of over 117 countries that he and his wife has traveled to.
He started his career as a Pan Am pilot, then started his own company that built and sold planes to corporate companies.
After some small talk about his stunning and beautiful home, I asked him one key question which was the following:
“All the years you’ve been in business, how many times did you want to throw in the towel and give up?”
David said, “I wanted to give up so many times, it wasn’t easy at all, I lost clients, gained clients, lost partners, gained partners.
Business is business, I became successful because I was in control of my own destiny. Success takes patience, you have to be patient in business. It took me over 26 years to build a successful empire and it all happened because I didn’t give up.
I had to make it work, that’s how business is. There are day’s I’m flying and so happy and excited…other days I feel slumped over, beat over by bad people that make bad choices.
There are days and weeks that nothing seems to be going right, and there are those really bad days. I just didn’t quit, I had to win for me and my family.
I now can take it easy and enjoy the hard work I put into designing our life.”

That’s why you never give up. Not ever.
Read this one line from this story again:
“I just didn’t quit, I had to win for me and my family.”
David knew exactly why he could never give up.
That, folks, is awesome…
No more Excuses. Just Never Give Up.
Nothing much else I can add here.
Don’t cheat yourself. Don’t cheat your family. Don’t cheat your world.
Remember, the only way to fail is if you quit! If you simply decide to just never give up, you WILL succeed.
So get going!
P.S. Quitting is for wussies. That’s all there is to it.
