One post, and she did not write it. Elena republished an essay by an actor responding to public speculation about her appearance, and the piece is far angrier and more precise than the coverage that provoked it.
Its argument is that the discussion about women's bodies happens everywhere, publicly and privately, and is aimed at the people it describes while being conducted largely without them. Faces get analysed, worth gets assigned on the basis of appearance alone, and a person's actual voice and work quietly disappear underneath it. The author points out that she is unusually placed to notice, since her own body regularly becomes the subject.
Nothing else exists on the blog. There is no commentary, no introduction, no marketing attached to it, which is a strange thing to find on a business site and probably the point.
A single essay. Read it if you have ever caught yourself joining in with that conversation, or been on the receiving end of it.
