Respect Yourself

If you cannot do that, then it is highly unlikely that anyone else will. Everything that has ever occurred in your life is a result of your own thinking. Admittedly, you have been subject to the influences of others and no doubt have even experienced things or situations in which those influences shaped your response.
The truly most successful people in life are those who choose to believe in themselves and pursue something they are passionate about. Do they face challenges? Most assuredly, but they refuse to give up on themselves.
The primary means by which things will change in your life, will be your responses, not merely by that which has been employed to educate you. Yes there are many areas of education that are important and informative, and I’m not suggesting you simply ignore them.
However, as you grow in life and find your passion, be aware that what may have been vital to your understanding of it, say five years ago, has or will be subject to change. So who must you turn to? Respect yourself and your commitment. Don’t merely restrict yourself to what others are saying or teaching you. Consider what I wrote about in a previous article, with respect to a team or Mastermind approach whereby you can share and expand creative thoughts.
Please don’t deny the fact that, yes we all make mistakes in life. Nonetheless, we can also capitalize on those very mistakes by learning from them and not quitting. Realize that what you have learned can be vital to developing this respect for yourself that I am talking about.
So now where? Reconcile your true value with true respect for yourself. “How can I do that?” you might ask. Write out the following if you have to, and post it on your desk or wall so that you see it every day.
“I never give up, and I will find, co-ordinate with others if need be, and develop a solution to every challenge I face today, and thus experience my true value!”
This is the pathway to your personal success and as a result you will better be able to respect yourself.
