Get Leads and You Win.
If you’ve been in network marketing for any length of time, you probably learned this simple truth quickly. Simple prospecting is the difference between success and failure in building a network marketing or multilevel marketing business.
Those who prospect well are the top recruiters, and usually the top money earners in your company.
So your sponsor and other upline leaders will tell you to prospect constantly. Go after your warm market. Talk to everyone who comes within 3 feet of you. Use a memory jogger and write down 250 names to solicit. Easy, right?
Why Aren’t I Winning Yet?
If it were as simple as they made it sound, we wouldn’t have a 97% failure rate in network marketing companies. It sounds good in the trainings, but it just doesn’t work for the vast majority of network marketers.
The reason is that you are committing a marketing “sin” by not targeting your market. If you aren’t familiar with targeting, it is the process of defining your ideal candidate, finding them and marketing precisely to them.
It makes no sense to present your network marketing opportunity to someone who doesn’t already need and want what you have to offer, yet that’s exactly what you’ve probably been taught to do.
First, Define Your Prospect
This will be the hardest point to convince multilevel marketers on: Consumers of your product will not grow your business.
For your business to grow, it is critical that you add other network marketers to your team, not just consumers. Network marketers multiply. Consumers don’t.
It doesn’t matter how great your product is. If you fail to sponsor people who multiply, you will never see the exponential growth the lead MLM earners do, and you will never make any money.
Aim at Your Target, and FIRE!
If you were hunting, you wouldn’t start shooting without aiming first. It’s no different in MLM prospecting. Now that we know our target market is network marketers who want to grow MLM businesses, we need to simply aim for them.
The single, most effective way to target a market today is the Internet. It is the most powerful medium ever developed that allows the average person to precisely identify a particular audience. If you are not using the Internet to generate leads, there is an excellent chance you are not generating targeted leads for your MLM business.
I Get It. Now What?
Unless you’re already a professional computer geek, web designer, programmer and advertising expert, you need some serious help. Most of us need an online marketing presence, but we have no idea what to do. After all, we are network marketers not web designers!
Fortunately, the solution is simple. Use what someone else has already built. Copy the methods that those top network marketers already have proven. Use what they use, and do what they do, and you can generate dozens of qualified MLM leads every day.
