Harvest Time is the very thing that farmers look forward to. They til the soil, they plant the seeds…..they water and wait….and then wait some more. But when Harvest Time comes…..it’s all hands on deck. This is the point when they cash in….and there is no messing around.
I don’t know about you but I love to drive through farm country. I think farmers are the very back bone of this country and I appreciate the attitude and work ethic that farmers possess. They have to in order to stay in that business.
Think about it. When they plant the seeds in the ground…..they do not know exactly what will happen. Of course they hope and maybe even pray for a great crop. But there are a lot of variables when they plant the seeds.
And that is a lot like blogging. We write blog posts about all sorts of of topics and all sorts of subjects. And we do not know what will happen with that blog post.
Will it bring in a lot of visitors? Will it bring in just a few visitors or no visitors at all? So it is similar in that respect to a farmer.
But if you have ever thought about being a blogger……your blog posts can shock you sometimes. Sure you can have a dud here and there…and no visitors or I should say very few visitors actually find your post.
Then again…..you will eventually write a post here and there that just shocks you and it will bring in visitors…..and visitors…..and more visitors! And that’s why we just do it!
Just write what’s on your mind and go for it. You see blogging is like the farmer in that he plants that seed in the ground and he expects a return. He expects a Harvest Time……and he just plants those seeds. And then he waits and waits. It’s part of the job and he doesn’t expect Harvest Time to come in earlier than expected. It takes a certain amount of time….and that’s all there is to it.
So as a blogger, just write and be patient. The Harvest Time will come. You just have to keep planting seeds. And sooner or later your crop will come in. The visitors will come over and over again.
Oh and blogging is so much better for Harvest Time than farming is. Why is that?
Because on the internet……that page of yours will stay out there. It could actually keep producing sales for you……year after year.
So what is this all about?
Well two things. First is just do it. Stop thinking about it and just do it. Nothing will get done while you are thinking about it. Things only happen when you roll up your sleeves and just do it!
The second thing is don’t give up! Like the farmer he expects a Harvest Time. But there are no guarantees Some times he experiences a drought or too much rain. What ever. Sometimes he has great years and sometimes not. But he knows that on balance….he will get his Harvest Time and it will be all worth it.
So just do it. Be a blogger and just write. You will get better and better at it. Some of your posts will do great. And others….not so much. But just do it….and keep doing it!
And it is like farming in that the more seeds you plant…..the bigger your harvest will be. So the more blog posts or pages that you get out there on the internet…..the more money you will make.
Well…….let’s do it! Get a blogging system and start blogging!
