Dear Janet,
A lot of things will happen over the next few decades, some good some bad. Some things you’ll have no control over but there’s some things that you can and do have a say in.
First let me tell you that you an awesome little girl. You’re quiet but that’s just fine. You watch and notice things that others do not. A quiet strength that not everyone will appreciate. They may think that you don’t want to make friends but the ones that make the effort to get to know you will find you to be a loyal and trusted soul.
You will do what you can to make others feel safe and loved often times not thinking of yourself and what you need.
You are sensitive sometimes to a fault and you need to take care of your own feelings and needs. It’s not selfish to want to be understood and loved and appreciated.
You are smart and can accomplish anything you set your mind to but along the way some people will not support you. Some of them will do it to be mean but more often they’ll do it because they don’t understand how deeply you feel. They don’t understand why you want the things that you do.
Friendships and other relationships can get complicated but you’ll learn to stay true to yourself. You will have setbacks and times that you will think that life is hopeless but you can change that, be happy and find the people that will enrich your life as you enrich theirs.
As you go through life walk with your head up knowing you striving to be the best person you can be.
Know that the world is a better place with you in it even when you’re told that you will never amount to anything. Forgive those people and keep moving. You need to let go of everything that does not serve you in your quest to be happy and fulfilled.
Be proud of your quirks and flaws. Embrace who you are and the people you need in your life will find you.
Explore, create, make mistakes, learn lessons and become the person you are meant to be.
With Love, Me
