PlayStation (PS) is a gaming console designed and developed by Sony Computers & Entertainment Corporation. The first generation was introduced in 1994 with the objective of providing the best gaming experience amongst kids and adults. There are total eight generations released with the first one shipped 100 million units in around 9 years. The next model in the series was PlayStation 2 which till date is the bestselling console, reaching over 150 million units. Services offered by Play Station network is online virtual market for purchasing and downloading new games, a social gaming networking service for playing online.

PlayStation 3 was released in 2006, 6 years after the release of the previous version. All the gaming forums are talking that the new version i-e Play Station 4 would be revealed to the world by the end of this year. Though there is no official intimation regarding the release date by Sony.  It must release the new generation, equipped with all the best features and advance technology so that it can give tough competition to rival consoles such as Xbox and Nintendo Wii.

Here are some rumors that are floating in the gaming world about the features and designs of PlayStation 4:

• The developer code name given to this console is “Orbis” which is a Latin word meaning circle or orbit.
• Sony will be majorly focusing on the best hardware acceleration to provide the best user experience. There are rumors that it will have the strongest Quad core processor with sufficient graphics card and memory.
• The games that Play Station 4 will play are already under development with strong emphasizing on graphics.
• Rumor has it that all games played on Play Station 4 would be available online which means that it would be linked with the user account. Users can download the purchased games anytime.
• The games for the device will be both backward and forward compatible and are expected to support the inter connectivity amongst the devices.
• The console will focus on quality of graphics that will give real time look and feel by considering all the details in the image. It is also said to support 3D games in 1080p.
• According to the history of Play Station consoles, Sony releases all the successors with a gap of 6 years. Gaming enthusiasts thinks that the device might target the holiday seasons of 2013.

Buying Advice for playstation 4:

Sony has the history to give the best quality experiences for the users and as far the PlayStation series is concerned, the user experiences and quality of games are the based. Having all the rumors that look reality, the gaming lovers are expected to desperately wait for the updated console.

Looking at all the rumors and news about the release of play station 4 the best part would be that it will provide the virtual reality experience. To be honest im going to buy the next playstation because i love video games and i know for a fact sony delivers a much better video experience to its customers.
