Happy Traffic Weekend!!!

How’s the “Honey-do list” working out this weekend? I managed to put a substantial dent into mine Lawns mowed (3.5 hours) pool set-up for the summer (1.5 hours) installed the air conditioner (1 hour) and did a few loads of laundry (1 hour). Add in making supper for the kids a shower, and some marketing, there goes the day. But I still have blogging, reading, and placing some ads to go before I get to sleep, which will put me somewhere close to midnight (but still better than 3am like last night). I am actually tossing around the idea of quitting my day job soon. It really holds me back ( I mean over 40 hours every week that could be devoted to doing something I am passionate about, and could take care of me for years to come, vs. something I could care less about, that stops taking care of me the second I stop working) Everything is happening fast, if you are curious as to what I am talking about check this out: almostasecret There is a lot to digest, but if you have any questions or comments I am more than happy to help, and if I can’t I know people who can

126. Try direct mail including postcards (they’re a cheap and effective traffic source)

I would actually prefer the postcard route over the letter. Simple, easy, can be colourful (Logo on the picture side) and short,sweet and to the point. I would rather read a one paragraph postcard than a 1 to 3 page typed letter any day of the week. But it’s up to you. But if I can get all the info, especially the url, in a matter of seconds, I am happy. A lot of “junk mail” goes straight into the recycling here at “Casa de Loewen”. Life’s to short. Give me a couple of sentences and a URL on a handy pictue, that I can walk over to my computer and check out, and if it grabs me, 9 times out of 10, you will have me in your traffic. But whatevr way you go, try to pick a reputable direct mail company. Doing it yourself may be cheaper, but getting pros to help you, at least the first time around, may be a good idea. So another quickie come and gone tonight, but I have been following my 8 core commitments and be looking at my marketing today, and I found something a little different. If you go right to the bottom of the page there is a link. It’s for free traffic. Don’t get to excited though, you have to do stuff for it. You have to surf 1000 pages first. But I found that using Mozilla Firefox, I can just start it up and go about doing my thing. It will keep running all by itself, and you register a new page automatically about every 10 seconds. I have beeen coming and going all day and managed over 500 already. While there have been a couple of glitchy pages that have stalled it out, for the most part it has worked great.
