Stratospheric Success Comes From a Change of Focus

Laws of Stratospheric Success – an Introduction

One of my first internet marketing mentors, Devon Brown (creator of ESE) sent me a gift of the book The Go-Giver

The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success.

Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be.

And so one day, desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his many devotees simply as the Chairman.

Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of successful “go-givers”: a restaurateur, a CEO, a financial advisor, a real estate broker and “The Connector,” who brought them all together. Pindar’s friends share with Joe the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success and teach him how to open himself up to the power of giving.

Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving—putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives—ultimately leads to unexpected returns.

I read the book from cover to cover in one sitting, and enjoyed it all the way through!

Recently, these five laws of stratospheric success came back to mind as a result of dealing with an unscrupulous individual who swindled myself and 100+ fellow entrepreneurs out of our hard-earned cash with promises of helping us to start/grow our internet business. Promises built on sand that quickly blew away with the winds of time.

Laws of Stratospheric Success – an Overview

Laws of Stratospheric Success – the Five

1) The Law of Value:

Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.

2) The Law of Compensation:

Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.

3) The Law of Influence:

Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interest first.

4) The Law of Authenticity:

The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.

5) The Law of Receptivity:

The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.

Here’s a PDF of the five laws of stratospheric success from the authors of the Go-Giver.

Laws of Stratospheric Success – Lessons Learned

In dealing with this unscrupulous individual I mentioned earlier, I learned an expensive lesson about doing proper due diligence.

So, when investigate a business opportunity or a potential joint venture, ask yourself the following…

– Is more actually being given in value than is being taken in payment?

– How many people are being served and how well are they being served?

– Are the interests of the people being put first?

– Is the company or person being authentic?

– Is the company or person open to receiving inquiries and constructive criticism?

I hope that this information helps you to become a better, more successful entrepreneur, as well as guide you in making sound, informed decisions as you grow your business(es).
