Focus the Power of the Inner Mind – Why?

Statistics show that the vast majority (over 90%) of new internet marketers fail.
Why is that?
Well, a big part of the problem is lack of focus and perseverance. Too many newbies jump from program to program, system to system, trying to find that magic bullet that will end their financial struggles. Unfortunately, this oftentimes puts them in deeper financial straits.

While “not putting all your eggs in the same basket” is incredibly important advice for an experienced marketer, it is less so for newbies. Why?
The scattershot approach does not allow the time or concentration needed in order to generate income from any endeavor. You’ll end up with a bunch of baskets but no eggs to put in them. What would be the point of that?
Focus the Power of the Inner Mind – an Understanding
Recently, I’ve been re-listening to the audios from a personal development program I bought some time back called The New Message of a Master by Kristen Howe. Include in the program are some PDF eBooks [the written version of the audios].
Chapter 10 begins with this quote…
As electricity is a great power in the world, so the Inner Mind is the greatest power available to you. Neither operates independently; both depend upon a separate agency to incite them to action, and both bring helpful or harmful results according to the wisdom or ignorance with which they are directed.
It goes on to discuss the three “phases of mind” of which we are made…
Deeper Mind = our unconscious (controls the functioning of the body)
Outer Mind = our conscious (interacts with the world via the five senses)
Inner Mind = our subconscious (works behind the scenes to accomplish our desires)
The connection between the Outer Mind and the Inner Mind is described this way…
The Outer Mind is in touch with external things through the five senses, and the Outer Mind’s function is to transmit its desires to the Inner Mind.
The Inner Mind, then, is the seat of power within you and has no consciousness of duality and no faculty of discrimination. It knows no impossible, no failure, no obstacle, or limit, or lack. It depends upon the guidance of the Outer Mind and throws its great unlimited force into anything that the Outer Mind may direct it toward.
Focus the Power of the Inner Mind – the Importance
Chapter 10 continues…
“It is easy to see how important it is for the Outer Mind to unite with the Inner Mind and cooperate with it, and if this were the condition in human activities, people would be masters of their environment and circumstances instead of being slaves.”
“Then why are we not all masters of our environment and circumstances?
For this reason: The Outer Mind forms a desire which is automatically taken up by the Inner Mind and immediately proceeds to work toward bringing it forth. The Inner Mind scarcely has time to turn its great force in that direction before the Outer Mind finds a new fancy or conjures up illusionary obstacles, and the Inner Mind, not being in contact with outer things and consequently dependent upon the Outer Mind for guidance, is forced to again divert its power.
And thus it goes, on and on, like leaks in a steam pipe, scattering its wonderful power everywhere but getting nowhere.”
Focus the Power of the Inner Mind – my Admonition
Like many others, when I first started out in internet marketing, I lacked focus. I wasted time and money chasing after the next shiny object. However, once I cut that nonsense out, and I narrowed down my affiliations, I began to get the results I’d been hoping for.
So, going back to the opening quote, “the road to success is dotted with many tempting parking spaces,” I want you to consider this…
A parking space is a means to an end, a place to park our vehicle while we attend to life’s affairs.
Now, as an illustration, think of a parking lot with many parking spaces at a mall.
At most, how many parking spaces can you occupy at any given time?
With an average-sized vehicle parked in the directions of the lines – TWO!
With an average-sized vehicle parked across the lines – THREE!
Now, consider this… if you spend your time changing parking spaces, will you actually get inside the mall?
So, I’ll leave you with that thought, and this admonition…
Park the DAMN car already and get on with it!
