Well folks, seeming it’s Ashes time in England, I thought I would bring this one out….
Shane Warne’s ball of the century.
This goes back quite a few years now to the early 90’s. What a kid he was then.
He is a funny guy Shane Warne, he loves living the high life. He seems to have done well with his Business and investments during and after his career.
I will give you a few more examples of how well he played…
I also found this awesome video of some more balls/yorkers of the century (of another kind)
So after watching all this cricket, I think you could be one of THREE things
• 1, Mind numbingly bored (If you come from the US or don’t follow cricket)
• 2, Pumped up to watch Australia try and claw back some respect in the ashes
• Or 3, If you are anything like me, you will be asking yourself this question below….
What do I do to get rich if you can’t bowl the ball of the century?
Well as Rich Dad says, if you aren’t a sports star or an actor, you will need to learn how to serve people in your own way. If you aren’t Shane Warne, you need to be able to product cash-flow from a business of your own.
This leads onto the next question….
Why do sports people make so much?
It’s because they are entertaining people. They are providing a service. Depending on how popular the sport or the star is they will make a lot or not that much.
An example of that is a NRL star in Australia is earning maybe 1/100 of what a soccer player in Europe might earn…..
The reason for that is just that there are MILLIONS if not BILLIONS more people watch soccer than Rugby League around the world. The Super-bowl in The US is another great example of a MASSIVELY popular sports event…
So how do I serve people then?
Well you supply either a product or service that they need/want. There is a very important distinction between that because some essential service industries can be safer to be in that say a luxury industry like the car industry.
I could go on and on about this subject for hours….
It’s my main interest in life.
Anyway, for now I hope you enjoyed the videos and I will be in touch another day.
(Have fun in the sun if you are in Europe atm or summer anywhere in the world!!
Thanks guys,
Colin
