Wow guys, hasn’t this stirred up some controversy between Australian and the Mother Country England. Lol.
Stuart Broad should have walked
What do you think about that?
It was clearly out, Stuart Broad held his courage and the umpire missed it, easy mistake.
I think it is definitely one of the worst umpire misses for a while.
This is the total opposite of what Adam Gilchrist used to do
So Should Stuart Broad have walked?
The rules of cricket state that you don’t have to walk. You play what the umpire says.
I am actually a fan of not walking ,sorry Adam Gilchrist.
Here are some reasons why I don’t agree with walking:
-There are way more people that don’t walk (Stuart Broad you aren’t alone) than do walk. That means you are better off staying with the masses if you want luck to equal itself out.
– The rules of the game state that you don’t have to walk. Throughout history, umpiring mistakes have been part of the game. Now we try and make it 100% but the hot-spot technology was also shown to have flaws in this test match with the Trott incident.
– Sometimes I just don’t like change…lol. I just want it to be like it always was..
So,
Yes, there was an incident where one of the English batsmen was unlucky the day before. This latest Stuart broad should have walked incident has overshadowed it though.
But anyway, there you have another game of sport that has caused such controversy.
It’s crazy how people are so passionate and can be entertained by sport so much.
I grew up watching cricket and will always be a keen follower…
What are your thoughts on the latest Stuart broad should have walked incident??
Here’s what some famous ex-cricketers had to say in the daily mail in the uk:
NASSER HUSSAIN
What an incredible decision, or lack of decision. There was a massive nick, given not out, and that’s what the DRS is there for, to overrule the howler.
SHANE WARNE
You can’t blame Broad for not walking, hats off I say. If you nick it to first slip, stand your ground and get given not out! It’s the umpire’s job to give you out.
So yeh…there are just so many differing opinions out there…
At the end of the day…………Stuart Broad didn’t walk lol…
Later guys,
