Edward Snowden applies for asylum in Russia

Some of my friends have been ‘all up in my face’ saying that I should watch the news more etc….

So, I was kind of cruising around the web yesterday and I stumbled over the whole ‘Edward Snowden applies for Asylum in Russia’ deal.

I was like yeh ok I’ll check this guy out whatever, I’m sick of reading about ‘bad stuff’ in the mainstream media.

Anyway, I’m glad I checked it out. How interesting!!

So what is the deal with Snowden???

Is he a really good guy or was he wrong in doing what he did??

Let’s look at some facts…

• He made the public aware of things that they didn’t know about.
• He has worked his whole life in jobs trying to protect the US government and against the ‘war on terror’ from being in Iraq to security jobs.
• There is a law to prevent the Government from invading our privacy (conversations etc)

So where to now?

We now have to decide if we want such an invasive government or not?

I personally, don’t like the sound of it but will have to find out more about exactly what these guys are doing with our information.

I definitely am interested as to what will happen with Snowden over in Russia.

It really is amazing times with guys like Edward Snowden and Julian Assange releasing such secretive information.

Coming from Australia, I have a keen interest in Julian Assange ( He was born in my home town…claim to fame )

In my opinion, they are both freedom fighters. Here at Empower network we are freedom fighters as well. Our whole goal is to make money to buy freedom.

That’s what you need in the societies we live in. Money itself is just this weird plastic paper…well Australian money is. A lot of other currencies have pure paper notes.

So I am proud of Snowden and Assange. While Edward Snowden seeks Asylum in Russia, I wish the guy luck. I mean he sure needs it fighting against a whole country.

Let’s join up and fight the forces of evil together. (What I’m saying is let’s just build something for ourselves and not have to work for someone else for the rest of our lives….) Sound good??
