Who would you vote for in the Best Guitar Solo category?
If you’re anything like me, music is a very important part of your life. Music, for many, calms and soothes our inner spirit. Even as young children, we like to hear simple melodies. There’s no doubt that a terrific piece of music is the best form of art. And the best songs, in my opinion, are those with a terrific guitar solo somewhere in the middle.
There are many styles of music, but this article will stay within the boundaries of classic rock – music made using the electric guitar, to be precise. There’s no instrument in the world like the electric guitar, and many great guitarists over the past 50 years have accomplished a new form of reaching out to their audience with feeling and emotion through their instrument.
The list below is simply a top ten of the songs with the best guitar solo (in no particular order) which have made it to this blog writer’s ears. I’m talking about the best guitar solo (s) which are played with feeling and seem to convey theplayer’s deepest emotions. Feel free to leave your comment below and include any tracks which have not been listed here.

not what I would classify as the best guitar solo. Although David Gilmour is Frickin Awesome.
9. A medley the Late, Great Stevie Ray Vaughan – Frankly, this guy is one of the best ever…
8. Joe Satriani – Surfing with the Aliens has a sound of it’s own. Not quite deep and heart-felt, but great nonetheless.
7. Here’s Jimi Hendrx Mesmerizing the crowds for a full 7 minutes
6. Mark Knopfler – Sultans of Swing – Unmistakably one of the best.
5. Here’s Steve Vai doing his thing… Another of the greatest.
5. Eddie Van Halen, but not for the crazy Eruption song. We’re looking for tunes with Heart and soul here… BTW, Eddie
should probably be in the top three, but he’s usually always in number 5 position, so that’s where he is…lol.

4. Randy Rhodes – Mr. Crowley. Even if you don’t like Ozzy, you’ve got admit that this is one the most heart-felt guitar
playing and one of the Best Guitar Solo of all time.

2. Jimi Page playing Stairway. OMG… I didn’t put Stairway in position #1…
The best part about this best guitar solo is that it was invented off the cuff – he winged it during a session
recording.

David Gilmour – Tough to pick just one, he turns out a killer every time, but this is one of his best guitar solo ever.
