If you are simply looking for leads for your MLM the lead generation process is straight forward but very time consuming, plus you have to work huge numbers.
If you are willing to think outside the box, you can turn your lead generation process into a profitable activity. Thus, instead of spending money on leads, lead generation can be a profit center.
In addition to making money while getting leads, we need to keep in mind that now all leads are created equal. We are seeking high quality leads.
I have tried buying leads and still do sometimes but clearly these are not good leads. Additionally, many companies offer online lead generation for you but again, these are not so qualified.
So what is the answer?
The answer is to generate your own leads!
Generating your own leads alows you to make money from the lead generation process and this is why it is great! The quality is better and you make money.
First of all, by creating your own lead generation process, you can have a better sense of where each person comes from, you can know better how to talk with them, plus you can trust the data is good.

A big part of generating your own leads is branding yourself. The cool part about self branding is that people will know you and not just your company. You know the say, “people do business with people not companies”. This is definitely a huge advantage.
Before you setup your online lead generation process, the first step is to think about who you want to target. That is a key question.
I am involved in a health and wellness company. I am looking to attract three types of people.
- Current network marketers or those who have been involved in the past.
- Those eager to start a MLM business.
- Those interested in good health.
How do you maximize your profit and move as much product as possible? Do you do it by selling product yourself to consumers? Yes, I want to sell products to consumers and I have customers only.
But…the best way to move a large amount of product is to have “franchises” below me that sell product.
Given my target market, I have determined the best way to attract those type of leads is to offer tons of valuable information for free using content marketing.
Content marketing sets me up as an authority in the industry and allows others to get to know my personality because they can read my articles and videos.
I recently attended some cross company network marketing events and people kept coming up to me and saying hello as if they knew me for years but we have never actually met.
Why is that?
Simple, they had seen my videos, read my articles and felt like they knew me even if they do not. Actually, in a sense they do know me.
How much easier is it to talk to someone about your MLM business if they feel they already know you!
Let’s get down to the part about making money with the lead generation process. I am targeting current network marketers or those who are interested in MLM.
Is it realistic that everyone I talk to will change companies and join me? Is it realistic that every newbie who is interested MLM will join me?
The obvious answer is “no”.
Now let’s change the question….No matter what MLM company they join, do you think every MLMer or newbie MLM would be interested in training on recruiter?
What about training on how to build their network marketing business online? How about software and other tools that can help them build their business?
I think you are getting the idea…Your lead generation process should start with generic training and other tools, this allows you to make profit and even if someone does not join your business. The best part is you are building a relationship with others by helping them.
This is also known as a funnel system.
